In a statement during the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected executives and legislative council of the Osun State University Students’ Union (OSUSU), held today at the Multipurpose Hall on the main campus in Osogbo, Professor Clement Adebooye, the Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, clarified the university’s stance on tuition fees.

He emphasized that despite the federal government’s policy mandating tertiary institutions to transfer 40% of their revenue to the Federal government, there will be no increase in tuition fees.
However, he acknowledged a slight increment in other charges, charges like the hostel fees and fees for science students, attributing it to the prevailing higher inflation and increased costs of academic materials in the country.
