The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC), Osun Axis, is mad and upset about the robbery attack on Dr. Bush, the President of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Students’ Union. This attack shows just how serious the security issues are for students and schools in this state.
When we heard about this attack, we were shocked and worried. Dr. Bush was just coming back from his duties when this happened. An attack on a student leader is like attacking all students and we will not let it slide.
A Call for Action
We, at NANS JCC Osun Axis, strongly condemn this awful act. We call on the Osun State Government and security agencies to find the people responsible and bring them to justice. This incident shows how urgent it is to tackle the growing threats to students' safety.
We urge the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to take action as the Chief Security Officer of the state. The safety of students should be a top priority and plans must be made to stop these attacks in the future.
Student Safety is Important

This attack on a student leader shows how vulnerable all students are. As the main student group in Osun, we’re committed to protecting all students in the state.
We ask the Commissioner of Police and the Director-General of the Southwest Security Network (Amotekun) to start an investigation right away and make sure justice is done. Criminals should know they will face consequences for their actions.
A Message to Students
As we celebrate during this festive time, we ask all students to stay alert and careful. Try to avoid lonely places, limit late-night outings, and keep your emergency contacts handy. Your safety is very important, so please take steps to protect yourself.
In Support of Dr. Bush and Great Ife
The NANS JCC Osun Axis stands with Dr. Bush and the entire Great Ife community. While this event is upsetting, it makes us more determined to work for a safer school environment for all Nigerian students.
We promise our full support to Dr. Bush and the Great Ife Students’ Union. We will fight hard to see justice done. The time for change is now, and we will keep pushing until students in Osun State feel safe.
Osun Axis Executives, we are committed to standing up for the safety and well-being of Nigerian students. We can face these challenges together. ✊❤️
