UNIOSUN OSOGBO CAMPUS -THE HOME OF ENTREPRENEURS

It is safe to refer to the Osun state university, the Osogbo Campus a cohort of entrepreneurs. There’s a big difference between having a skill and not putting it into use, and having a skill and making proper use of it. Uniosun Osogbocampus students are aware of how important having a skill is and most importantly making use of it as a source of income even as a student.

It is an encouraging, fact that their studentship doesn’t stop them and it isn’t a form of hindrance. It is understandable that as students, you have loads of work and busy schedules, logically, this is enough to discourage students not to venture into a business in school but with the look of things, this excuse isn’t applicable to Osogbocampus students because the busy schedules as a student aren’t stopping them at all and the fact that they all seem to balance their various businesses with academics is very commendable.

When you decide to start giving an account of the various things these students sell on campus each day, it is nearly impossible because you wouldn’t even know where to start the survey from. Starting from the bakers, various students who are bakers sell their products daily on campus, they don’t even care if another student sells the same products on campus, as far as each person has a various target audience and customers, no problem. These students who are into baking and catering services sells all kinds of cakes with different flavors, different kind of foods(order), pancakes, peppered ponmo and meat, plantain chips, cake parfaits,kilishi, kuli, zobo, peanuts, Totes bags, Pre order goods not forgetting the clothes vendors even thrifts are also available.

We can also talk about the graphic designers,interior painters,pencil artist .

The way these students put themselves out there, showcasing their talents and businesses dey burst my brain. This is commendable, having an education is very good so as having a skill is as important.

The majority of campus students are business oriented and also know the value of entrepreneurship and skill acquisition, this would make other students as well to be able to showcase their talents and give them the urge and willingness to make strong use of their skills, come out of their comfort zones and start making waves.

This business-oriented drive I’m sure isn’t just among uniosun Osogbo campus students but also among students of Osun state university at large, with this drive among students, is sure to take entrepreneurship to a new level
