UNIOSUN INAUGURATE 4TH STUDENTS UNION LEADERS.

Authorities of Osun State University on Tuesday inaugurated the newly elected officers of the Students Union Executives and Legislative Council
The inauguration ceremony which took place in the early hours of Tuesday at the university’s multipurpose hall main campus in Osogbo was attended by thousands of students.

Addressing the newly inaugurated executives and legislative council, Professor Odunayo Adebooye the vice-chancellor of the university encouraged them to embrace dialogue as a means of problem-solving.
He emphasized the university’s openness to engage in discussions to resolve issues and urged the student leaders to understand the school’s position on any policy before passing judgment.
Stressing the importance of responsible leadership in student unionism, he advised them to carefully consider the potential impact of their actions on the school system, including the consequences of closing down the school.
Professor Adebooye congratulated the newly elected leaders and expressed anticipation for their positive contributions to the school’s growth.

Dr. Juliana Akindele, the acting Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the newly elected executives and legislative council.
In her address, she congratulated them on their election and reminded them of their duty to serve the welfare of the students, which she emphasized as the primary purpose of their election.
Akindele urged the student leaders to be responsible, responsive, and efficient in carrying out their duties.
She emphasized the importance of being visionary, intellectual, and accountable while fostering transparency and garnering support from both the student body and the school management.
After the lectures from the university officials, the oath of office was taken which was led by the university lawyer.
