
NIMELSSA MAIDEN LECTURE PROGRAM

On the 31st of May 2023 the NIMELSSA UNIOSUN Chapter made an indelible historic mark has they hosted the maiden edition embossed in their Nimelssa Health Week Day 3 Lecture & Seminar.
Several academics dignitaries were present amongst which are; Prof. Musa Abideen Muhibi - Professor Of Haematology, Prof. Ogbolu, Dr. Atere, Dr. Kosamat, Miss Chukwuemaka. Mr. Samuel .
Student Executives Board were ably represented from the Nimelssa National President, Lautech Nimelssa Secretary and Senate President Fountain University Nimelssa Chapter, Uniosun Pharmacology Executives to the whole of the students.

NIMELSSA Uniosun Chapter hosted the public lecture which was themed "BEYOND OUR REACH; EXPANDING ACCESS TO INTERPROFESSIONAL TEAM BASED CARE" which took place at the 750 LT Isale Osun Campus.
Starting from the Executives Board (Pharmacology, Physiology), NIMELSSA Fountain University Chapter also came to celebrate with their fellow counterpart over the hosting of their first public lecture, NIMELSSA Regional Coordinator, Comr. Uzamah Abdul Azeez,
Prof. Ogbolu, the Head of department gave the opening speech emphasized on the laxity of the executives for not informing the department earlier, he also gave a concise overview of the theme of the program where he said inter professional team based care is definitely needed not only amongst the medical laboratory scientists but also to other health practitioners and stakeholders.
Just before the Guest Speaker started to reel out the information his citation was read by Miss Chukwuemeka. Thereafter the Guest Speaker, Prof. Muhibi painstakingly gave a perfunctory speech on the topic - DEVELOPING PATIENT MEDICAL NEIGHBORHOOD - expanding our reach within our walls, where he emphasized that to create a patient medical neighborhood there need to be a perfect communication which would elicit collaboration and leads to peaceful coordination amongst the health personnel and even to the students, he also reiterated the strategies to achieve such which he mentioned to be connecting with the community, Tele health and training of health workers to achieve PMN.
Inspire on all mentioned earlier, he reeled out the challenges which he said Management Issues was the most pertinent of all, where he said
Management is about coping with complexity while leadership is about coping with change .


Thereafter the Senior Special Assistant to the Nimelssa National President on School Visitation Mr. Akinyemi Oladapo where he emphasized on the need to inculcate the spirit of leadership, comradeship and team spirit.
