IKIRE CAMPUS STUDENTS BEGS FOR SECURITY OPERATIVES DEPLOYMENT IN SCHOOL VICINITY

This statement was made yesterday by the majority of students living in the Ikire campus school community due to some robbery activities that are happening in the school area.

These robbery activities are consuming the students in losing their property to the robbers in which the robbers are now having the pride to perform their operations perfectly. 100-level students are now in fair because most of the school-owned hostels for 100-level students are located outside the school campus.

Students are pleading with the school management to deploy security operatives to the school community to stop this robbery activity going on in the Ikire campus school community.

100-level students complain about the lack of electricity in their hostels, which is hindering them to know what is happening in their compound and outside their compound when the cameras are down.

Furthermore, the school management had information about some students planning to stage protests which the protest was said to be a non-peaceful protest that will cause violence among the students. Directives have been made by the office of the dean of students’ affairs unit that any student who is caught doing such an act will be punished according to what is stated in the student’s handbook which had been given to each student
