Press Release

6/11/2024.

We have been apprised of a vacuous, fallacious, and risible release from disgruntled individuals who are displeased with the current leadership of NANS JCC Osun Axis steadfastly upholding the constitution and preventing pernicious precedents. Ordinarily, we wouldn't have deigned to respond to these individuals, given the tepid and lackluster nature of their statement. A cursory glance at their release reveals incoherent diction, ambiguous linguistic interpretations, and a general lack of clarity. Should we be surprised? No, considering these individuals are rebellious and aggrieved, and their output is tantamount to irrational ramblings.

These individuals desperately require intensive therapy and prompt attention to prevent further deterioration. However, for the benefit of the public and Nigerian students whom these aggrieved elements are attempting to deceive, we must respond.

Their release is replete with egregious falsehoods, demonstrating a blatant disregard for the constitution. These individuals operate based on whimsical and arbitrary decisions, rather than established guidelines and the constitution of our dear association. These people are just acting on the order of some Egbon Adugbos from the bear pallor and they have the mentality that Yoruba aptly described as Arije nibi Ibabaje. As the leadership of NANS JCC Osun Axis, we shall set the record straight with undiluted resolve.

Firstly, in Osun NANS JCC, no election has been conducted, as the CPC recognized by our constitution hasn't done so; they are in the process of conducting elections. On Monday, they had their screening at Obafemi Awolowo University, and during the screening, they promised to conduct a very standard election in few days . So, these individuals signing any release are just irked that the NANS JCC Osun Axis leadership isn't shaken by the attempt to factionalize the association and refused to be distracted by some individuals doing skits around the State.

Secondly, this point of theirs is not only fallacious but also laughable, indicative of cognitive lapses or severe memory loss. We sympathize with their plight and pray for their speedy recovery.

To set the record straight, Osun has ten schools, and all are eligible to vote in NANS elections. In fact, newly established schools participated in the last national elections that produced Akinteye Babatunde and Lucky, the current NANS National leadership. The University of Ilesa voted in the just-concluded Zone D election, but Federal University of Health Sciences Ila Orangun (FUHSI) President was occupied during registration and election.

It's amusing that Polytechnic Iree, University of Ilesa, Federal Polytechnic Ede, and Federal University of Health Sciences Ila Orangun fall under the same category, lacking Elected Students Unions' Leaders but having Caretaker or Students' Representatives. These institutions are recognized nationally, but these individuals seek to discredit them, just to have their evil agenda projected

The public, media and the security agencies are advised to disregard these elements masquerading as leaders and instead pray for their healing from the apparent amnesia afflicting them. Under Chairman Taiwo Ogungbe Adedamola's leadership, NANS JCC Osun Axis shall transition power to new leadership soon.

We say; esprit de corps, together we shall achieve more than enough.
