The Senate meeting convened on March 1, . 2024, was reconvened on March 20, 2024, and the following resolutions were reached:

Following the communique of the previous Senate meeting by the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council, Osun State Axis, it was agreed to adjourn the session to a later date. Indeed, the gathering reconvened on March 20, 2024, at the Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State. Senators who were absent at the previous meeting provided genuine reasons for their absence, ranging from exams to essential commitments. They pledged unwavering support for the Axis leadership.

The meeting began with the uplifting chants of Aluta songs, followed by a motion for commencement by Senator Wasiu Hamzat Ajadi, President of the Federal Polytechnic Ede Students' Union, seconded by Senator Emmanuel, President of Osun State University Students' Union.

Chairman Ogungbe Taiwo Adedamola delivered the opening address, delegating the reading of the resolution to Axis PRO, Adedapo Taiwo Emmanuel. Subsequently, intellectual discussions ensued for approximately two hours, leading to the following resolutions.

Senators concurred that the government, despite student consultation, has consistently disregarded the pleas of Nigerian students, leading to the inevitable call for confrontation as the next course of action.

Students vehemently demanded the immediate reversal of increased school fees in Osun State-owned institutions, threatening mass mobilization in the absence of prompt action by the government

Deep disappointment was expressed towards the government of Ademola Adeleke for neglecting student welfare amidst adversity. Despite initial hope, the administration's implementation of anti-student policies has been glaring. Nonetheless, students remain hopeful that the government can redeem its image by prioritizing student concerns.

4. Students lamented the lack of mobility for campus unions, emphasizing the necessity of government-provided buses to alleviate transportation challenges faced by students.

5. The demand for adequate palliatives and infrastructure improvements, including road networks and facilities, was reiterated to enhance the learning environment on campuses.

Despite multiple letters addressed to government authorities, which were met with indifference, students resolved to take to the streets. A seven-day ultimatum was issued to the government to address the aforementioned demands, failing which students vowed to protest and block roads and public places in Osogbo, the state capital.

These demands represent the collective voice of students across higher institutions in Osun State, endorsed by the seven present senators. Notably, the absent President of Osun State College of Education Ila Students Union Government, due to a prior commitment with the school's extended management, pledged full support and appended his signature to the demands.
